Fehlfarben

Fehlfarben

November 1979 in a small pub in London: Peter Hein and Thomas Schwebel were watching a gig of “The Teardrop Explodes”. TwoTone, a special kind of Ska music genre, was en vogue (and also driven by a label with a very similar name). Soon they decided to introduce this kind of music to Western Germany. “Fehlfarben” was born.

February 2006: After they realized that they completely forgot to officially celebrate their 25th anniversary “Fehlfarben” decided to launch a “Geburtstag vergessen” tour across Germany. They started this year’s tour with an exclusive radio session on Austrian radio FM4.

This blog brings you a low-bandwidth version of this event: The tracks have been numbered and named for your convenience.

The sound quality is average. If you are interested in getting all the tracks in better quality (uncompressed, 44,1kHz, Stereo, also known as “CD quality”) you may contact me per mail.

Read the whole story on the FM4 website.

“Fehlfarben” simply rule. I love this session.
