I like films, because they make me feel different. I like good films, because they are good. I also like bad films, because sometimes they inspire me.

Whilst watching a good film, you are so into the plot that you forget about the film. Bad films leave you enough time to think about the film, the production, the sound, the dialogues, the editing, special effects and so on - while you’re still watching it.

My favourite films are in no particular order Aguirre, Apocalypse Now, Blade Runner, Blues Brothers, Fight Club, Garden State, Ghost In The Shell, High Fidelity, Langsamer Sommer, The Last Round, Wild At Heart and probably some others.

My hero is David Lynch. He is one of the few Hollywood directors I like.

Not because of the films he directed but because of his personality. Why should I like someone because of his or her oeuvre? I can like someone’s work, but I cannot like a person because he or she has done well. I also like Andrew Eldritch of The Sisters Of Mercy because he is the person he is and not because he has produced great songs.

And I want more Futurama.
