Retro

I have a strong bias for old things.

Be it old computers from the 80ies, old furniture from the 70ies, old operating manuals from the 60ies or old advertisements for vacuum cleaners from the 50ies.

Starting with “newest” things first, my biggest love that lasts over decades was and still is the Commodore Amiga. Back in 1992 me and my brother got a Commodore 64 and only months later an Amiga 500 personal computer.

Of course we use to play a lot of games. But after the A4000 came, I also discovered a personal preference for customizing the GUI of my OS 3.1 Workbench and using the computer as a machine for both work and joy. Other people were happy with the standards Windows 95 and Windows NT did set for them, but not me.

Unfortunately time has passed and I had to sell my A4000, because I did not use it very often and wanted it to be in good hands.
